The 19th Annual Signal & Image Sciences Workshop

May 13, 2015 HPC Innovation Center

Abstract Submission Deadline: April 24, 2015

Proceedings are now available for the 2015 Signal & Image Sciences Workshop.

Workshop topics include (but are not limited to):

  • Signal processing
  • Image & video processing
  • NDE & inverse problems
  • Radar & wireless communications
  • Radiation detection & isotope ID
  • Machine learning & pattern analysis
  • Control systems
  • Real-time / embedded systems
  • Applications (e.g., seismic, remote sensing, astronomy)

The LLNL Center for Advanced Signal and Image Sciences (CASIS) exists to establish a forum where research scientists and engineers can freely exchange information and ideas in a comfortable intellectual environment focused on the areas of the signal and image sciences.

Read more about the CASIS mission.

The workshop is open to engineers, scientists, and students with an interest in the signal and image sciences, and there is no fee to attend.

Proper identification, such as a U.S. Government ID, driver license for U.S. citizens is required for entrance to the venue. Foreign nationals should register as early as possible to allow time for site access processing; please check here for additional site access information.

This year's Keynote Speaker, Georgios Giannakis, renowned signal processing researcher, will be presenting "Learning Tools for Big Data Analytics."

Past Workshops have hosted such luminaries as Pietro Perona (Computer Vision),Charles Bouman (Model-Based Imaging), Richard Baraniuk (Compressive Sensing), James Flanagan (Speech Analysis), Alan Oppenheim (Signal Processing), Bernard Widrow (Adaptive Filters), and Ronald Bracewell (Fourier Imaging).

You can contribute in a variety of ways:

  • Give a talk: Submit your abstract
  • Present a poster: We encourage posters to enhance your opportunities to exchange technical ideas with your colleagues — submit an abstract
  • Spread the word: Distribute the CASIS flyer in your organization
